Meet Our Team!
August Sorenson
Founder, Editor
August Sorenson founded The Academy Pages with fellow alumna Yasmin Le Comte. A graduate of the class of 2020 (go zoomies!), he is recipient of the Mike Thoma Award. August works closely with his alma mater, helming the expansion and revitalization of its news team through the development of the 'Pages' in summer of 2020, and has been Editor ever since.
Duke Daniel Pierce

Duke Daniel Pierce did not help found The Academy Pages with fellow alumni August Sorensen and Yasmine Le Comte, in fact, he was quite useless during that process. He is part of The Academy’s 2020 class, whereupon graduating he was awarded the Charles Jehlinger Award. He cares deeply about the rich history of The Academy and is excited to be a part of The Pages. Duke is an avid lover of films and books, dreaming of one day being a renowned director/actor.
Carin Misterly

Carin is a freelance author, artist-designer who lives and works in Los Angeles. She has developed her own freelance services in copywriting, graphic design, video and film production, marketing and brand development, and various consulting roles. When she isn't wrangling words and flinging paint, Carin moonlights as a private dessert chef and sings with a few LA area bands.
Yasmin Le Comte
Founder
Yasmin Le Comte founded The Academy Pages with fellow alumnus August Sorenson. Yasmin graduated from AADA in 2019 and was a part of the Los Angeles Academy Company the following year. She was awarded the VandenEnde Foundation scholarship to study in Los Angeles. Besides acting she loves food and good coffee. Her role at The Pages is marketing coordinator.
Alex Matthews

Alex Matthews (Class of 2022) is an author, actor, and filmmaker. He was raised in Iowa before pursuing a career in the creative arts out in Hollywood. His favorite color is blue, he enjoys walks in the park, and will take over any government for the right price.
