The Academy is excited to share that alumna Kim Cattrall (Class of 1974) has joined the cast of Hulu’s "How I Met Your Father"—spinoff to the famed 2000's sitcom "How I Met Your Mother." The series will pay homage to the brilliant original by using a narrator ("future" Sophie played by Kim Cattrall) à la Ted Mosby.
Releasing this coming January, audiences will be brought "back" to the year 2021 where Sophie (Hillary Duff) and her group of friends, Jesse (Chris Lowell), Valentina (Francia Raisa), Charlie (Tom Ainsley), Ellen (Tien Tran), and Sid (Suraj Sharma) are trying to find happiness and discover their passions, all while looking for love in an ever-changing world.
With recent credits in "Filthy Rich," "Tell Me a Story," "Modus," and an upcoming role in “About My Father" starring Robert DeNiro, Cattrall has had a busy few years.
