Jennifer Fouché to return to 'CHICAGO' on Broadway

The Academy is excited to share that Jennifer Fouché (Class of 2007) will be returning as Matron Momma Morton in “CHICAGO” on Broadway from October 21st through the 24th!


Her performance in CHICAGO was reviewed by The Times of Israel, stating: "Jennifer Fouché as Matron “Mama” Morton... brought the house down with her soaring voice and perfect timing.”


The Star Tribune also had great things to say about her performance, stating: "The production is, in fact, studded with gorgeous performances. Jennifer Fouché brings down the house with “When You’re Good to Mama.”


Jennifer Fouché is a talented actress and performer based in New York City where she is a member of New York’s critically acclaimed “Amoralists Theatre Company,” a former member of the “Flea Theatre's” resident ensemble, and “The Bats.” But she is best known for her role as Matron Mama Morton in the Broadway National Tour of “CHICAGO.”


She has performed in plays and musicals in The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, The New York Fringe Festival, and the Obie Award-winning play festival, 48 Hours In... Harlem. Jennifer is also known for her role as Roberta, in the Original Off-Broadway Cast of “SISTAS” The Musical. She is also currently part of the "Chicken and Biscuits" cast at Circle In the Square Theater in New York.


Her work in television and film includes “Wu-Tang: An American Saga,” “Jessica Jones,” “Quantico,” “SMASH,” “The Mysteries of Laura,” “Person of Interest,” “White Pickett Fence'' and the Sundance Award-Winning film, “Crown Heights.” She is also the voice of Dame Stella Nostrella, a recurring character on the PBS animated series, Pinkalicious & Peteriffic.
