The Heart of Heart theatre company opens in Hollywood with the inaugural production of the play Another Revolution. Located in Hollywood at Eastwood Performing Arts Center, the troupe aims to spark insightful conversations through socially relevant, thought-provoking work.
Another Revolution is a captivating play set against the backdrop of Columbia University during the tumultuous year of 1968. Written by Jacqueline Bircher, this gripping narrative follows the journey of Kat and Henry, two graduate students navigating the complexities of a shared laboratory amidst a campus consumed by political upheaval and societal unrest. It’s a story that delves into themes of interpersonal dynamics, ideological clashes, the profound impact of external chaos on individual lives, and how friendship can blossom even in the coldest of winters.
Joan Lynch (‘15) directed the piece, and Calvin Picou (‘14) served as producer. Oliver Boon (‘19) contributes to sound and editing for the company.
