Patti Sheehan Hupp Releases 3rd Children's Record

We’re always excited to see past students in different areas of the entertainment business, whether that be for dance, writing, or in this case, the musical arts! Academy’s Patti Sheehan Hupp (Class of 1988), the founder of the ArtSmart World Foundation, released her third children’s record this past August called: “Where’s The 1?”

Co-written alongside Emmy-winning musician and composer, Bette Sussman (Whitney Houston, Bette Midler, Aretha Franklin), “Where’s The 1?” is a collection of songs written as the soundtrack for ArtSmart TV, a children’s television show the duo wrote. The musical numbers help introduce preschoolers to famous artists and musicians from the past.

“Where's The 1?” was produced by Kevin Hupp (Iggy Pop, Rufus Wainwright, Rick Derringer) and features: Bette Sussman, Kevin Hupp, Will Lee & Felicia Collins (Letterman Band), Julio Fernandez & Joel Rosenblatt (Spyro Gyra), Steve Conte (NY Dolls), Gary Schreiner (Elton John, Chappelle Show), The Harris Bros Horns (Tower of Power, Allman Bros), John Putnam (Blues & Bway veteran), Kevin Jenkins (Shemeka Copeland), Jeff Carney (Sting).

The record is available on most streaming sites for anyone to enjoy. Click here to check out “Where’s The 1?” on Amazon!
