Primetime Emmy, Golden Globe, and SAG winner Sarah Paulson (ST ‘92) stars as Antoinette “Toni” Lafayette in Branden Jacobs-Jenkins’ Appropriate. The cast, led by Paulson, features an ensemble of high-profile talent, including Emmy nominee Elle Fanning (The Great, Maleficent), Golden Globe nominee Corey Stoll (House of Cards, Billions), and Rachel Gold, fresh off her tenure as Rava Roy in Succession, the critically acclaimed series that streamed on HBO Max. Broadway veteran Lila Neugebauer directed after staging the show’s original Off-Broadway run.

Paulson, who’s spent the last decade racking up countless screen credits (American Horror Story, Ratched, American Crime Story, 12 Years a Slave, Glass, and Run), returned to the Great White Way after 13 years with Appropriate. The press has lauded her performance; Jesse Green of The New York Times called it “eye-opening” and “sinus-clearing.” The show’s run, which began in December, was extended with haste.

Appropriate ran through March 3rd at the Hayes Theater via Second Stage. It will resume performances at the Belasco starting March 25th. More information and tickets available here.
